Starknet is about to launch STRK Staking V2 voting and plans to launch a test network within a few weeks

Starknet announced that the official voting for STRK Staking V2 will start at midnight on March 21st. This upgrade aims to expand validators from running full nodes and monitoring networks to sending block proofs to evaluate their activity, laying the foundation for the consensus role planned by the end of 2025. At the same time, the proposal also introduces a transparent commission adjustment function to optimize economic incentives. This upgrade will be launched on the test network in the coming weeks, and the main network is planned to be launched in the second quarter of 2025. Previously, it was reported that the second phase of Starknet: STRK staking will be launched as early as Q2 2025.
