RISC Zero launches OP Kailua effectiveness mode, supporting the gradual transition of OP chains to ZK Rollup
Odaily Planet Daily News: Zero Knowledge Proof software developer RISC Zero announced the launch of OP Kailua Validity Mode, which allows OP Rollup to be upgraded to ZK Rollup without requiring large-scale technical changes, achieving higher security and faster settlement time. This model eliminates fraud disputes, ensures that transactions are finally confirmed within one hour, has stronger security than traditional fraud proofs, and has been adapted to the second phase of decentralized deployment. In addition, Validity Mode is cost-effective and suitable for high-throughput OP chains. At the same time, Kailua also offers Hybrid Mode, allowing OP Rollup to introduce ZK fraud proof in advance, improving security with lower margin requirements and faster dispute resolution capabilities. At present, multiple Rollup projects such as BOB and Eclipse have started integrating OP Kailua and gradually transitioning to ZK.
