Odaily Planet Daily News: Tomasz K. Sta ń czak, Executive Director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated in an article on X platform that with the recent changes in the leadership of the Ethereum Foundation, our goal is to give Vitalik more time for research and exploration, rather than daily coordination or crisis response.
Every time Vitalik shares insights or conveys direction, it accelerates significant long-term breakthroughs. His recent articles on RISC-V and zkVM have propelled a hopeful development path, while his articles on privacy have helped the community reintegrate around the core values of the Ethereum Foundation. I want to make it clear that Vitalik's proposals have always had an impact, but they aim to initiate dialogue and encourage progress in challenging research areas. The community review may make significant modifications to the proposal, or even reject it. We hope that other researchers can also have the same freedom, be brave enough to raise difficult questions and propose alternative solutions, such as @ drakefjustin and @ dankrad. Ethereum researchers often ask readers to recognize the exploratory nature of their posts and proposals. Focus remains crucial. Within EF, we will shift most of our research efforts towards short-term goals, striving to address user experience and scalability challenges in the next two protocol upgrades. We focus on significant UX improvements (including interoperability) in L1 extensions, L2 extension support, and Pectra, Fusaka, and Glamsterdam upgrades. At the same time, we are exploring how to complete projects that are currently expected to take three to five years to complete ahead of schedule. Our top researchers' papers have helped some projects to be delivered within one or two years through initiatives such as next-generation execution and consensus layers.
