Odaily Planet Daily News: According to official sources, Babylon Genesis Chain will adopt a dual virtual machine model of EVM and CosmMasm: CosmWasm (now available on the main network) is used to develop secure, high-performance smart contracts for Bitcoin. Wasm smart contracts are written in Rust, a language that fully supports the Bitcoin core library; EVM (to be added) has rich and mature DeFi products, a huge user base, and a strong developer community. The EVM promotion work of Genesis Chain is currently underway, and the development network has been launched. Once the testing network is launched, the public testing network endpoint will also follow suit. The official statement states that the EVM integration plan will be launched on the mainnet by the end of the third quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025.
