BlockBeats News: On July 9th, according to Wired, OpenAI has poached four senior engineers from competitors Tesla, xAI, and Meta, including David Lau, former Vice President of Software Engineering at Tesla, who has joined the company's expansion team. The message was released by OpenAI co-founder and expansion team leader Greg Brockman through an internal Slack message on Tuesday. Joining OpenAI alongside David Lau are Uday Ruddarraju, former infrastructure engineering director at xAI and X, Mike Dalton, infrastructure engineer at xAI, and Angela Fan, artificial intelligence researcher at Meta. Dalton and Ruddarraju have both worked at Robinhood before. At xAI, Ruddarraju and Dalton were involved in the construction of Colossus, a large supercomputer consisting of over 200000 GPUs.
