According to Foresight News, as disclosed by the US SEC, the Lido Labs Foundation responded electronically on March 24th to questions from the US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Cryptocurrency Task Force regarding the regulatory status of governance tokens and liquid nature staking tokens (LSTs), advocating that these digital assets should not be classified as securities under federal securities laws because they have fundamental utility and operational capabilities.

The adoption of Bitcoin strategic reserve in the United States would consolidate its dominant position and force it to adopt it globally. Strategy has utilized $33 billion to accumulate over 500000 bitcoins, using innovative financial instruments such as convertible bonds and preferred stocks to fund its corporate bitcoin funds, while also designing a self-sustaining price increase cycle financially. Michael Saylor has stated that he will destroy BTC before his death instead of donating these assets, as this approach is a more ethical and reasonable form of charity and will give Bitcoin "economic immortality", making everyone in the Bitcoin network richer and stronger.
Odaily Planet Daily News: Asia Web3 Alliance Japan has submitted a proposal to the US SEC Crypto Task Force, suggesting the establishment of a US Japan tokenization and Web3 regulatory cooperation plan, with joint participation from the SEC, Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and Bank of Japan (BOJ). The goals include: 1. Developing a unified token classification framework, clarifying "tokenized securities", "utility tokens", and "non securities digital assets"; 2. Promote regulatory interoperability and support cross-border issuance of compliant tokens; 3. Design a safe harbor mechanism for early token projects and introduce sandbox testing in Japan based on the American model; 4. Establish cross-border token trading and custody standards; 5. Initiate the US Japan Web3 Regulatory Roundtable to continuously share policies and research findings. The proposal suggests holding a preliminary meeting, forming a joint working group, and selecting 2-3 US and Japanese startups to pilot cross-border token issuance, aiming to overcome the challenges faced by Japanese Web3 startups such as unclear classification, heavy compliance burden, and limited global market access.
On March 25th, BlockBeats reported that Bitcoin Laws released details of North Carolina's Bitcoin investment bill, known as House Bill 506, which will create a new independent North Carolina Investment Authority (NCIA) led by the state's Secretary of the Treasury. NCIA will have the authority to invest 5% of various funds within the state in digital assets.
