Standard Chartered Predicts Tokenized Real-World Assets Market Value Could Reach $2 Trillion by 2028

--

Standard Chartered Bank reports that as more global capital and payment activities shift to blockchain networks, the market value of tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) could accumulate to $2 trillion within the next three years. Currently, the market value of RWAs is approximately $35 billion, and achieving this target would represent a growth of over 57 times. Standard Chartered predicts that by 2028, the market value distribution of non-stablecoin tokenized RWAs will be as follows: $750 billion flowing into money market funds, $750 billion into tokenized U.S. equities, $250 billion into tokenized U.S. funds, and $250 billion into the less liquid segments of private equity, including commodities, corporate debt, and tokenized real estate.
