[Kazakhstan Central Bank Considers Investing in Cryptocurrency Using Gold and Foreign Exchange Reserves] Kazakhstan Central Bank Deputy Governor Berik Sholpankulov stated in the lower house of parliament that the country's central bank is exploring the possibility of investing in cryptocurrency through government-controlled funds and a portion of gold and foreign exchange reserves. He noted that confiscated crypto assets from criminal cases will be allocated to the newly established national cryptocurrency reserve and preserved as strategic reserves.
