[U.S. Congress Approves Mandatory Disclosure of Epstein Case Files]
On the 18th local time, the U.S. Senate approved a bill mandating the disclosure of files related to the Epstein case. Earlier that day, the House of Representatives voted to require the Department of Justice to release all Epstein case files. President Trump had previously expressed support for making the relevant files public. Since the House reconvened on the 12th of this month, Democrats and Republicans have alternately disclosed portions of the Epstein case files, accusing high-ranking figures from the opposing camp of having connections to Epstein. These figures include Trump, former Democratic President Bill Clinton, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, and former White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, among other officials who served in Democratic administrations.
