[Ernst & Young Economist Suggests Fed Meeting Be Postponed Until After Key Data Release]
The Federal Reserve plans to hold its meeting on December 9-10, but the November non-farm payroll report and November CPI data are scheduled to be released on December 16 and December 18, respectively. Ernst & Young economist Gregory Daco believes that while it is extremely rare for the Fed to adjust its meeting dates, postponing the meeting by a week would be more ideal given the importance of key economic data. HousingWire Chief Analyst Logan Mohtashami also suggests the Fed delay the meeting until after the December 16 data release.
