[South Korean Custodian Bidex Expands KRW Stablecoin KRW1 to Polygon Blockchain] On December 4, South Korean digital asset custodian Bidex announced the expansion and distribution of the KRW stablecoin KRW1 based on the Polygon blockchain. Previously, Bidex had planned to issue KRW1 on Circle's blockchain platform Ark. This time, Polygon blockchain has been added on top of Ark due to its high transaction processing performance and low fees. KRW1 is a stablecoin collateralized by the South Korean won, with pledged funds sourced from KRW deposits in domestic bank accounts in South Korea.
