Introduction

In two months, this link has entered dYdX Labs' leveraged platform Arcus, Ethena's 320 million USDe, Coinbase's 7.5 billion cbBTC brought in through Chainlink, and the complete wallet matrix from Trust Wallet to MetaMask. FalconX's assessment is that it has assembled the entire puzzle of DEX, lending, perpetual contracts, oracles, cross-chain, and wallets during its launch phase. This article reviews the incoming assets by category, detailing who arrived and how much they brought—while explaining why RWA is the smallest piece among them.

Key Points

  • Derivatives: dYdX Labs' Arcus—95 tokenized stock DEX, tokenized perpetuals, received investment from Robinhood Crypto
  • Stablecoins: USDG ecosystem + Maple syrupUSDG + Ethena USDe (320 million in eight weeks), total stablecoin market cap of 640 million
  • Cross-chain: Chainlink CCIP as the foundation, Coinbase introduced 7.5 billion cbBTC, Ethereum bridging weekly growth of 30%
  • Lending Credit: Morpho-supported Earn (deposits 790 million/loans 351 million) + Polytrade's USDG trade credit
  • Unbalanced reality: Tokenized assets only broke 8.8 million in September, the smallest section of the 1 billion TVL

Setting aside the noise of Memes, the Robinhood Chain has indeed welcomed a considerable amount of infrastructure and assets over the past two months. This review organizes who has come in and how much they have brought, categorized by type.

Derivatives: dYdX Labs' Arcus

Arcus is the most important native derivatives project on this chain, launched by dYdX Labs (the dYdX Foundation clarified on July 2 that the two are independent products).

Its rollout pace has been rapid: On July 2, the DEX supporting 95 tokenized stocks went live; on July 8, it received investment from Robinhood Crypto and officially joined the ecosystem; on July 22, weekly trading reached an innovative high of 285,000 transactions; on July 23, it launched tokenized stocks and perpetual contracts; on August 26, dYdX Labs officially launched the tokenized leverage product platform Arcus, supporting leveraged tokens for stocks and crypto assets.

The significance of this product line lies in its progression from "only being able to buy and sell" tokenized stocks to "being able to leverage and use perpetuals," marking a genuinely incremental part of the RWA narrative.

Stablecoins: USDG, USDe, and syrupUSDG

Stablecoins are the fastest sedimenting asset category on this chain. The primary native stablecoin is Robinhood's own USDG—Spark commented on July 2 that the launch of USDG signifies a shift in stablecoin competition towards ecosystem contention. On July 15, USDG's liquidity on Uniswap doubled in a week to over 8.5 million dollars.

External stablecoins are also being introduced actively. On July 2, Maple launched syrupUSDG; by August 29, Ethena's USDe exceeded a supply of 320 million dollars within eight weeks. The total stablecoin market cap on the entire chain grew from 270 million on July 11, to 400 million on July 26, reaching 640 million dollars by August 19.

Cross-chain Assets: Coinbase's 7.5 Billion cbBTC

On August 28, the largest single asset migration occurred on this chain: Coinbase brought in 7.5 billion cbBTC into the Robinhood Chain through Chainlink.

The foundation for cross-chain capability is the Chainlink CCIP integration completed on July 14. The data for bridging is also increasing—on July 23, assets bridged from Ethereum grew 30% in a week, surpassing 200 million dollars.

Lending and Credit: Morpho and Polytrade

On July 9, Robinhood integrated Morpho to launch the on-chain lending product Earn, which is the core of its official DeFi offerings. By August 19, this chain's deposits exceeded 790 million dollars, and loans reached 351 million dollars.

On August 20, Polytrade Finance completed integration with Robinhood Crypto, launching a trade credit product based on USDG—bringing on-chain stablecoins into real-world trade financing scenarios.

Wallets and Tools

The speed of integration is the most underestimated advantage of this chain's early phase. On July 2, Trust Wallet; on July 4, Rabby Wallet; on July 8, VelvetX; on July 18, Velvet Capital terminals supported cross-chain trading; from July 22 onwards, support for self-custodied wallets like MetaMask began; on August 1, KyberSwap integrated the block explorer RobinScan.

According to FalconX's analysis in "Robinhood Chain Primer: Early Traction and Protocols to Watch," this chain has assembled a complete picture comprising DEX, lending, perpetuals, oracles, cross-chain, and wallets during its launch phase—this is the prerequisite for reaching 1 billion dollars in TVL in just two months.

But the Asset Structure Remains Unbalanced

Adding these up, the actual scale of "tokenized assets" on-chain only exceeded 8.8 million dollars by September 3. Compared to the 1 billion dollars in TVL and 640 million dollars in stablecoin market cap, RWA remains the smallest piece on this chain.

The ecosystem has been established, but the tenants moving in are quite different from the layout originally designed.
