According to Fox News, the US Department of Justice and FBI, in collaboration with police in Dubai, China, and Thailand, have shut down at least nine overseas cryptocurrency fraud centers and arrested 276 people. Scammers lure victims into depositing money on fake investment platforms through the use of "pig killing disks". During the operation, federal authorities in San Diego charged six individuals with wire fraud and money laundering, involving the Sanduo Group and Giant Company. Dubai police arrested 275 people, and Thai police arrested one fugitive.
