According to SBS Biz, the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission is investigating the sharing of order books between Upbit and Bithumb and overseas exchanges, with a focus on whether it involves cross-border transfer of personal information. The committee has completed a written investigation and on-site inspection, and is currently assessing whether it is illegal. The results are expected to be announced in the second half of the year. It is reported that Upbit shares its order book with Upbit APAC and Tether markets in Southeast Asia, and Bithumb has previously shared its order book with Stellar in Australia.
