According to Reuters, the Polish parliament passed the Crypto Asset Regulation Act on May 15th, incorporating EU MiCA regulations into domestic legislation. Local implementation must be completed before July, otherwise domestic entities will lose their eligibility to provide crypto asset services. Poland's largest cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto is suspected of fraud, with thousands of users unable to withdraw funds and prosecutors estimating losses of over 350 million zlotys (approximately $959 million). Prime Minister Tusk stated that the exchange may involve Russian funds, with founder Sylvester Suszek missing and successor Przemyslaw Kral reportedly in Israel.
