According to Cryptopolitan, Zhu Juntao, former CEO of Singapore's cryptocurrency lending platform Hodlnaut, has been charged with six counts of false statement fraud for allegedly misleading users during the TerraUSD crash. Hodlnaut did not disclose investing $317 million in Terra's Anchor Protocol from user accounts, resulting in a loss of $189.7 million after the UST crash. When the platform closed in August 2022, it owed users approximately $281 million and had assets of only $88 million, with a shortfall of approximately $193 million. The prosecutor accuses Zhu Juntao of falsely claiming through Telegram groups and emails during and after the crash that the company did not invest in LUNA or UST, and did not suffer any losses.
