Michael Bury: Doubts SpaceX valuation is too high, but did not short due to high cost of put options
Michael Bury stated that he does not hold any shares in SpaceX and believes that its $3 trillion market value is too high, but the cost of short selling options is too high. Michael Bury pointed out that the exercise price of a put option with a strike price of $100 and a maturity date of December 2028 is about $25, while the stock price is about $212. The contract price expiring in June 2027 is approximately $13, and the contract price expiring in December 2026 is approximately $6.75. Michael Bury believes that if the SPCX index stabilizes in the mid $200 range, the volatility of put option chains will decrease.
