According to The Block, the US Senate needs to push forward the Clarity Act, Defense Authorization Act, Agriculture Act, and Housing Act in July. Republican Senator Lummis is expected to push for a vote after the release of the bill text on July 4th. The controversy surrounding the bill includes ethical clauses that prohibit officials from participating in cryptocurrency trading, safe harbor clauses for non custodial developers, and stablecoin reward issues. Democratic Senator Alssobrooks stated the need to address ethical and illegal financial provisions. Industry insiders warn that if the bill cannot be passed in July, it may be postponed until the lame duck session after the November election.
