Australian Prime Minister Albanese announced on Wednesday that the Australian government will establish an Artificial Intelligence Office under the Prime Minister's Office, responsible for developing artificial intelligence standards and mandating that data centers become net energy producers and limit water usage. Relevant legislation will be submitted to Parliament early next year.
