Visa launches Visa Stablecoin Platform to provide stablecoin settlement services for financial institutions
According to Fortune, Visa has launched the Visa Stablecoin Platform to help banks and fintech companies integrate stablecoin payment capabilities into existing payment and fund management systems. This platform provides services to approximately 15000 financial institutions and over 200 million merchants worldwide for Visa, supporting settlement using US dollar stablecoins in traditional payment networks. Visa processes approximately $15 trillion in payment transactions annually and has already handled stablecoin settlement businesses worth billions of dollars. The Visa Stablecoin Platform initially supports OUSD and is compatible with both USDC and USDG. Mastercard launches stablecoin settlement solution, and American Express participates in the Open Standard ecosystem construction.
