BitPay has obtained permission from MiCA, a Dutch cryptocurrency service provider, to expand its business in Europe

Crypto payment company BitPay has been approved by the Dutch Financial Market Authority and has obtained a license as a cryptocurrency service provider, allowing it to conduct business in EU member states within the framework of cryptocurrency market regulations. BitPay will expand its encrypted and stablecoin payment services in Europe. Starting from July 1st, all entities providing encryption related services must be subject to regulation. Jonathan Arler, the head of BitPay Europe, stated that Europe is one of the most important regions for the future development of payments. Ripple has obtained a license as a cryptocurrency service provider from the Luxembourg financial regulatory authority.
