According to a report by The Paper, the Intermediate People's Court of Xilingol League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has issued a second-instance judgment on an illegal business operation case involving Ma and four others, with the amount involved exceeding 2.95 billion yuan. Ma was convicted of the crime of illegal business operations and sentenced to four years and six months in prison, along with a fine of 3 million yuan. The other four individuals were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 3 to 6 years.
