According to TechCrunch, nuclear startup Antares Nuclear has completed a $470 million Series C funding round, led by Paradigm and Caffeine Capital, with participation from Industrious Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Shine Capital. The funding includes $370 million in equity and $100 million in debt. Antares Nuclear is developing small modular reactors with power ranging from 100 kW to 1 MW. The company is one of the three nominees for the US Department of Defense's advanced nuclear power plant project, with plans to launch the first power generation reactor next year and deploy it to US military bases in 2028.
