Google promises to provide guarantees for $44 billion data center leasing project
According to The Information, Google has agreed to bear $44 billion worth of third-party data center lease payments in the event of tenant default, an increase from $650 million at the end of September. Google has expanded its TPU sales by providing backup support, while Alphabet has provided lease guarantees for a total of 2.4 gigawatts of capacity in approximately ten projects, all of which are currently unfinished.
