LpdFi protocol attacked, resulting in a loss of $700000. Attackers profited from lightning loans and price manipulation
According to Chainalysis monitoring, Hexagate has detected an attack on the LpdFi protocol, resulting in a loss of approximately $700000. The attacker borrowed approximately $44 million in lightning loans, raised the price of LPD tokens 71 times on DEX, and then forged approximately $140 million in deposits in the protocol using tokens worth approximately $2 million. The attacker receives one day's interest on the position, triggers the protocol to clear the liquidity pool, and pays the stolen funds. The attacker made a profit of approximately $700000 after repaying the loan and transferred the funds through Relay and TornadoCash.
