According to the Seoul Economic Daily, the yield rate of Samsung Electronics HBM4 has reached 80%, which is four months ahead of the original target. Samsung Electronics plans to increase its HBM4 revenue in the third quarter by more than three times that of the previous quarter, and increase its overall HBM revenue share to over 60% in the second half of the year. By the end of the year, it aims to increase its HBM market share to approximately 38%. The increase in HBM4 supply will drive the production of Nvidia's Vera Rubin AI accelerator. Professor Lee Jong hwan from the Department of Systems Semiconductor Engineering at South Korea's Sangmyung University stated that Samsung Electronics can leverage the expansion of HBM4 supply to rapidly increase market share.
