[Silicon Data Completes $30.5 Million Series A Financing, CME Group Plans to Adopt Its Benchmark] GPU data infrastructure company Silicon Data has completed a $30.5 million Series A financing round, led by Valor Atreides AI Fund, with participation from CME Ventures, DRW, Samsung Next, VanEck, Jump Trading, and Wintermute. The funds will be used for GPU benchmark pricing, performance measurement, institutional and alternative data, as well as risk infrastructure for derivatives, insurance, and credit markets. Silicon Data collects data from approximately 100 GPU rental platforms across more than 40 countries, processing over 150,000 price records daily. CME Group plans to adopt Silicon Data's benchmark as the reference price for its proposed cash-settled GPU futures, pending regulatory approval.

According to CoinDesk Research, the total trading volume of CEX spot and derivatives in July fell to $3.76 trillion, a 23.9% decrease from the previous month and the lowest since November 2023. The spot trading volume of CEX decreased to $727 billion, and the derivatives of CEX decreased to $3.03 trillion, accounting for 80.6% of the total market trading volume. The spot market share of DEX rose to a historic high of 19.5%, while the futures market share increased to 14.9%.
