Harmony Protocol confirms that an abnormal issuance of ONE occurred on August 12th, where attackers exploited a cross shard receipt duplicate verification vulnerability to mint tokens. The survey shows that the first round will issue 4 billion ONE, and the latest on chain restructuring shows a cumulative issuance of about 3.01 trillion ONE. The Harmony Protocol has fixed the vulnerability and deployed Mainnet v2026.1.1 version on August 12th at 14:30 (UTC+8). The bridging service has been suspended, and Harmony Protocol is coordinating to freeze funds and prepare to roll back the network to block 92730034.
