[CME Group Plans to Launch Two Computing Power Futures Contracts in October 2026]
According to Cointelegraph, CME Group and Silicon Data plan to launch the Silicon Data H100 Rental Index Futures and B200 Rental Index Futures on October 5, 2026, pending regulatory review and approval for listing on NYMEX. The two contracts will respectively track the hourly rental cost indices of Nvidia H100 and Blackwell B200 GPUs. Each contract represents one month's GPU rental fees. CME Group aims to transform computing power into standardized, tradable commodities to help AI developers and cloud service providers hedge against infrastructure cost fluctuation risks.
