Blockstream releases Jade firmware 1.0.41, confirming it is not affected by the Coldcard vulnerability

According to Bitcoin News on the X platform, Blockstream has released Jade firmware 1.0.41 and confirmed that Jade is not affected by the Coldcard random number generator vulnerability. Jade undergoes dozens of automated AI scans and manual reviews. The new firmware strengthens stack protection, updates dependencies, audits sensitive memory cleaning processes, and upgrades the operating environment. Blockstream claims that Jade's random number generation mechanism uses multiple entropy sources and is mixed through SHA-512. The team expects firmware 1.0.42 to be released in a shorter development cycle.
