ARK Invest and Glassnode release report comparing the differences in decentralization among Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana
ARK Invest and Glassnode have released a report titled 'Decentralized Spectrum', comparing the differences in auditing, security, governance, and ownership between Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. In terms of security, Bitcoin and Ethereum only require 3 entities to reach the critical control threshold, while Solana requires 19. Bitcoin miners can exit 1% of their positions within about 30 seconds, while Ethereum staking of the same size may take several weeks under pressure. Geographically, 63% of Bitcoin nodes run through Tor, about 20% of Ethereum nodes are hosted by AWS, and almost all of Solana's infrastructure runs in data centers.
