On September 2nd, the prediction market platform Kalshi is preparing to apply to US regulatory agencies to launch WTI crude oil perpetual futures, seeking approval as early as next week. The proposed contract is traded 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with no expiration date, and traders can continue to hold leveraged positions. If approved by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Kalshi will launch the first perpetual futures product linked to crude oil on a regulated platform in the United States. Kalshi plans to cover markets such as metals, stocks, foreign exchange, and interest rates.
