A16z crypto releases open-source zero knowledge virtual machine Lattice Jolt

A16z crypto has released the open-source zero knowledge virtual machine Lattice Jolt, which uses lattice cryptography to achieve quantum attack resistance. The prover and validator speeds are increased by 2 to 3 times, and the proof size is less than 100KB. Lattice Jolt uses the Akita polynomial commitment scheme based on the Module SIS assumption, developed in collaboration with LayerZero research and engineering team, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California, and a16z crypto. The system can prove over 2 million RISC-V cycles per second on the CPU and over 10 million cycles on MacBook after acceleration with Apple Metal, reducing the memory usage of the prover to 200 bytes per cycle.
