Singapore Exchange authorized by CFTC to open perpetual futures on Bitcoin and Ethereum to US institutions

The Singapore Exchange has been authorized by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to allow US institutional investors to directly trade perpetual futures on Bitcoin and Ethereum. KC Lam, head of encrypted derivatives at the Singapore Exchange Group, stated that this move connects traditional financial trading institutions in the United States with liquidity pools in Asia. The perpetual futures of Bitcoin and Ethereum on the Singapore Exchange will be launched at the end of November 2025, with a cumulative trading volume of $5.8 billion, approximately 400000 lots.
