Ethereum completes Devnet-11 drill, plans to increase block gas limit to 200 million
The Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade completed a drill in Devnet-11 and successfully confirmed blocks under the new block construction rules. The upgrade aims to increase the upper limit of block gas from 60 million to 200 million, introduce block level access lists to support parallel transaction processing, and extend block data propagation time to 9 seconds. In the test, Nethermind executed the client to process 570.7 billion Gas in 3 minutes and 15 seconds. The developer plans to deploy on the Sepolia testnet on October 6th, and the 200 million gas limit is currently in the experimental phase. (Source: CoinDesk)
