US and Chinese officials held their second day of talks in New York on Monday, focusing on advancing consensus on artificial intelligence, investment, and trade. Chinese Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min stated that the focus of the talks is to implement the agreed matters between the two countries' chief negotiators. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng have agreed to establish a US China AI dialogue mechanism.
