Goldman Sachs raises its forecast for the Japanese yen exchange rate, expecting it to rise to 150 in the next 12 months

--

Goldman Sachs Group has raised its forecast for the Japanese yen exchange rate for the next 12 months from 165 yen to 1 US dollar to 150 yen to 1 US dollar, and adjusted its 3-month and 6-month targets to 158 and 155 respectively. The institution believes that the Bank of Japan's interest rate hike is faster than expected and the possibility of domestic capital inflows in Japan has increased, making it more attractive to long the yen.
