Iranian currency Riyal falls to historic low, progress in Iran US indirect talks
On September 29th, the Iranian currency Riyal fell to a historic low, with the exchange rate in the Tehran trading market at over 2.5 million Riyals per US dollar. On September 2nd, the Rial reached a record low of 2.2 million Rials per US dollar. Iranian diplomats have stated that indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz have become more serious.
