Illinois suspends cryptocurrency trading tax plan until July 1, 2027

Illinois has agreed to temporarily suspend the implementation of the cryptocurrency trading tax plan. State officials and cryptocurrency industry organizations have jointly requested the Sangamon County judge to postpone the implementation date of the tax from January 1, 2027 to July 1, 2027, and are still awaiting the judge's approval.
