The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has requested that EU Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) cease providing trading, exchange, custody, transfer, and investment advice services to EU clients involving non MiCA compliant stablecoins, and prevent clients from buying or increasing their holdings. The stock exposure must be cleared within 3 months and no later than January 8, 2027. During this period, only limited exit services such as selling, exchanging, and withdrawing can be provided.
