France plans to require holders of self managed cryptocurrency assets exceeding 100000 euros to declare
The Finance Committee of the French National Assembly has passed the I-CF821 amendment, which proposes to require holders of self managed cryptocurrency assets worth 100000 euros (approximately 112000 US dollars) or more to declare their holdings. Those who fail to declare will face a maximum fine of 10000 euros. The proposal was put forward by Charles de Courson, Jean Pierre Bataille, and Michel Castellani, and will only take effect after it is approved during the National Assembly's review of the revenue portion of the budget.
