[Osmosis Compensates 1,037 Accounts with 40,500 OSMO, Fixes bOSMO Redemption Contract Defect] A defect was found in Backbone's bOSMO staking contract, causing approximately 50% more OSMO to be paid out during redemptions. On October 10, the Osmosis community pool redeemed 776,000 bOSMO and withdrew 1,299,700 OSMO. Osmosis will compensate 1,037 affected accounts with approximately 40,500 OSMO at an exchange rate of 1.1174 OSMO/bOSMO. The compensation is expected to be automatically distributed after the unbonding process is completed on October 24. The official team advises users not to purchase bOSMO or provide funds to related liquidity pools for the time being. (Source: Osmosis Community Hall)
