Star: OKX secondary identity authentication is a regular KYC update, not an account exception
OKX founder Star stated that OKX will regularly verify and update user identity information based on account conditions. When the account has been opened for 1, 3, 5 years or when the credentials have expired, users need to re verify. This is a routine operation for global financial institutions to fulfill their KYC obligations and does not imply any abnormalities in the account. Previously, some registered users in Chinese Mainland questioned on X that the secondary authentication was related to tax requirements, and reflected that the account could not be cancelled.
