The stolen Binance hot wallet, Binance 14, had its EIP-7702 authorization revoked at 8:10 AM today. Attackers exploited the EIP-7702 mechanism to force the Binance hot wallet to sign an authorization and delegate control to a malicious Sweeper contract, thereby gaining control of the wallet and transferring assets.
According to Specter monitoring, Arbitrum froze $30.5 million worth of ARB, and Paxos froze $215,700 worth of USDP, bringing the total frozen amount to $2.829 billion.
