Bloomberg: US Treasury volatility intensifies, Walsh faces challenge of limited room for interest rate cuts

--

According to Bloomberg TV, the US treasury bond bond market has fluctuated sharply recently. Inflation pressure and geopolitical events have put Kevin Walsh, the incoming chairman of the Federal Reserve, to the test. On May 15th, Soci é t é G é n é rale de France stated that the surge in energy prices caused by the Iran war has exacerbated inflation and limited the room for Walsh to push for interest rate cuts. Bloomberg data shows that traders expect the probability of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates before December to be close to two-thirds, while the market is still betting on more than two rate cuts within the year at the end of February.
