Kalshi settles $3.32 million Spotify forecast market, involving data dispute
Kalshi trader Caleb Davies has requested a delay in settling Spotify's forecast market involving $3.3209 million in trading volume, in order to review suspected human manipulation of streaming data. The market revolves around the top spot on Spotify's US daily chart, with open contracts related to Malcolm Todd's song "Earrings" rising from $2000 to over $70000. Spotify subsequently removed 523000 streaming views from Earrings data and requested that Kalshi and Polymarket remove their brand logos. Kalshi spokesperson Elisabeth Diana stated that the company is in contact with Spotify and conducting an investigation.
