[Cho In-woo: South Korea Should Clarify Rules Through the Basic Digital Asset Act to Promote the Return of Crypto Projects]
Professor Cho In-woo from Seoul National University pointed out that due to the 2017 ICO ban and regulatory gaps, South Korean native crypto projects such as Klaytn, WEMIX, Metabora, and NeoFin have continuously moved their operations overseas. Cho In-woo stated that South Korea needs clearer rules and called for the establishment of the Basic Digital Asset Act to define licensing standards for issuance, custody, and validation, as well as to formulate special procedures for bringing key overseas functions back to the domestic market.
