Nearly 200 Silicon Valley startups send letter to Trump, urging not to block Chinese AI models
According to Politico, nearly 200 Silicon Valley startups have jointly sent a letter to US President Trump through small tech associations, urging Washington not to cut off American companies' access to Chinese AI models. The association pointed out that American developers need to continue using global open models, and the government should take targeted safeguard measures rather than extensive bans. The association warns that banning the download of Chinese AI models will weaken the competitiveness of American startups and give a greater advantage to a few American AI giants. Axios stated that the US government is considering imposing a ban on Chinese AI models.
