Vlad Tennef: The US tokenization market needs long-term regulatory rules.

--

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenef stated that the U.S. tokenization market needs enduring regulatory rules. During the Q3 earnings call, Tenef said the SEC's innovation exemption was a positive step, but regulatory uncertainty hinders investors from committing assets to the tokenization market. Robinhood plans to launch private company stock tokens overseas and is exploring a compliance path in the U.S. that meets investor verification requirements. In Q3, Robinhood's cryptocurrency revenue declined 55% year-over-year to $120 million, and its notional cryptocurrency trading volume decreased 38% to $50 billion.
